hurricane katrina

okay, hurricane katrina made landfall this morning. and this storm is HUGE. for example, outer bands of the storm had reached nashville yesterday. yeah... nashville... some 530 miles from where the storm reached land and the rain was here yesterday. we're expected to get anywhere from 3 to 6 inches of rain in the next day and a half. holy shit!

oh, yeah, and when the storm itself (not the outer bands of the storm, mind you, but the actual storm) hits greater davidson county in the next several hours, we're still expecting tropical storm conditions. i kid you not.

so yeah... adventures in the south.

seriosuly, i've never felt/experienced a storm like that ever before. two words: torrential downpour. and then, throughout the day today, there was a really strange rain/wind thing going on.

genuinely creeped out? you bet your sweet bippy folks!
